earlier today if only the system hadn’t been so utterly useless.
After some hours of this we reconvened and filled out another quiz- this time “Guess the name of the brand.” Followed by a powerpoint presentation about what ‘connotation’ and ‘denotation’ means (these are the staples of my degree, and my A-Levels) and segueing into ‘self-marketing- why your CV is ‘dead’ important’.
I left with another headache and not much else. It still isn’t worth the £3 bus

knows the indignities of the system well enough herself- from when I was 8 she was unemployed and on-and-off employed, despite being highly professional and qualified (much more practically qualified than I) until I was in my late teens. Perhaps her view is that if she survived, then I will too. I don’t really know.
